Pursue professional growth in your ability to tell compelling stories in diverse digital formats with graduate studies in digital storytelling from Lumina College, in partnership with the highly regarded School of Communication Arts at Asbury University. You will be prepared to write more powerful stories, critique and contribute to culture, and integrate narrative principles and digital tools to communicate values and meaning to the world.

ASBURY UNIVERSITY
Asbury University, founded in 1890, is a Christian liberal arts school in Kentucky, USA grounded in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition and committed to academic excellence and spiritual vitality.
Asbury University also has a long-standing history of social and professional engagement, having gained wide global recognition through institutes like the Emmy Awards and the Olympics.
HYBRID & COHORT LEARNING MODEL

Flexible hybrid format, where face-to-face teaching is blended with online delivery to maximize students' learning experiences while fitting into their busy work schedules

Experienced local faculty co-teach in the program with fly-in faculty from Asbury University to diversify students' exposure while contextualizing learning with a balance of both global and local perspectives

Wide-ranging skill sets built-in to cover screenwriting, documentaries, film critiques, media ethics, viral marketing, convergent media, and communication research, among others

Throughout the duration of the program, students will study together with the same group (the cohort), going through the same courses together in the same sequence. This has the benefit of building a strong sense of community within the learning cohort.
TIME FOR COMPLETION
Students can complete the program part-time in two years at a moderate pace and obtain master's qualifications through a well-reputed program that is both faith-based and professional.

DEGREE RECOGNITION
Whether you study in the U.S. or Hong Kong, there is no difference in terms of the master's degree obtained, as the Hong Kong degree program is recognized as identical by both the U.S. degree-granting university and the Hong Kong government.
The added benefits of studying in Hong Kong include 1) saving on the expenses and energy of traveling to the U.S. to study, and 2) learning and applying knowledge from the courses into the local Hong Kong and Asian contexts, as the program is taught by both local and overseas faculty.
This program is registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau and the respective registration number is shown on the program brochure. From the perspective of the Hong Kong government and/or employers in Hong Kong, the degree is the same as one earned from studying the same program in the U.S.
In addition, Asbury University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
