Dr. Clara Chan has 30+ years of experience teaching intercultural studies and English language and literature in Hong Kong and mainland China.

Dr. Clara Chan was born and raised in Hong Kong. She earned her bachelor's in English literature and European studies and MSW from the University of Hong Kong, as well as an MDiv from United Wesleyan Graduate Institute. Dr. Chan also holds an EdD from the University of Leicester and a master's degree in linguistics and English language teaching from the University of Leeds in the U.K.

 

In addition to teaching experience, Dr. Chan has served in international NGOs where she led multiethnic and multicultural teams to recruit, train, and mentor Chinese personnel to serve in intercultural contexts. She was also a regular contributor to Herald Monthly HK for some years, where she wrote on the integration of faith, life, and society.
